Our innovative preschool offers a 3-year Montessori Primary curriculum that explores all key areas of learning through small group and individual lessons, including:
Our highly regarded preschool and kindergarten programs are based on over 25 years of experience working with young children and their families. The kindergarten leadership program prepares our students to excel in the best schools by building strong academic skills, a cooperative approach to working with their teachers and peers, and a love of learning. The curriculum at Montessori on the Prairie Tracy is founded on the classic Montessori principles with age- and developmentally appropriate academic, social, and creative activities to fulfill each child's potential in a beautiful and supportive environment.
Your child's development is rounded out with lessons in art appreciation and hands-on projects in many media; movement and dance, rhythm, song, and an introduction to musical instruments, as well as the chance to participate in many cultural activities and celebrations reflecting our diverse parent community. Your child will thrive in our program and will graduate well-prepared for their next level of education with Montessori material.
In addition to the school day program, the day care program is extended with:

The toddler program at Montessori on the Prairie is designed to allow children to grow and develop at their own pace. The classroom provides the child the opportunity to explore their world in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. In addition to language vocabulary exercises and sensorial exercises, the toddler environment is characterized by the exercises of practical life. Through these exercises, the student learns fine motor skills, gross motor skills, self-control, and grace and courtesy to interact with the other students.
We follow the international Montessori curriculum established by Association Montessori International (AMI). In addition, we incorporate computer work into the classrooms where we feature Montessori software, compatible with the overall educational goals of our program, which is oriented to the needs of children in the 21st century. Your child's development is rounded out with lessons in art appreciation and hands-on projects in many media; movement and dance, rhythm, song, and an introduction to musical instruments; as well as the chance to participate in many cultural activities and celebrations reflecting our diverse parent community.
